Our Site. . . HOW IT STARTED?

How did this all start? This is the question often asked amazingly by new found sheeps or the newbies. And this will be the same question future finds will post. The answer is in the past exchanges of emails, but due to limited file space allocations, many recounts have been deleted from individual email accounts. This is a summary of what have happened.

Delio initiated the creation of this website, applying with doteasy web hosting and paying for its first year registration. As the Administrator, he requests suggestions from us for continual improvement of the site's 'feel and look' . Rolando Carta then committed to pay for its 2nd year. Mario Ventura followed suit. Then Cata, very generous heart, volunteered to pay for its lifetime registration. (Do I recall it right? Any violent objection?). Syempre pa, kaming nasa 3rd world Philippines, e tuwang tuwa!

But before all these, what transpired that we are all gathered here now? Well, please bear with me, at hahabaan ko ang kwento.

Occasionally, Becky and I would meet. One time, after quite a while, one of her officemates, Lucy, whom I met thru online support group, requested to meet with me whenever I would meet with Becky. Then Becky scheduled a meet up, pero nawala si Lucy sa picture, at sina Precy, Cristy, Belle at ako na ang ka-eyeball (EB). So we agreed to meet at PowerBooks, megamall. I called up Cristy to confirm I would be there, and will not call anymore as my cell as 'lowbat.' And guess what? They changed venue at the last minute, Cristy was late,and i failed to get their calls and text messages. I was incommunicado. Kaya feeling ko na-indian ako so I left after an hour of waiting!

But they scheduled another EB . The same small group, Becky pinaka-masigasig, called all contacts - veron, jess sara (who later on contacted robert espera, nolasco, nora cruz, and others), ramtua, etc. At na-trace si Isa sa wtologistics website, big time! Then,Isa volunteered her place, at sampu lang daw kasya sa condo nya!

So on March 7, 2008 we met: isa (the perfect host), becky, bajao, precy, cristy, aoie. (see photos, Events page). Syempre, katakut-takot na balitaan: kumusta na kaya mga iba pa? si Lou nasa UN. . si delio din nasa US . . .

A few days later, Becky was able to contact Lou. At dun nagsimula si Mrs Bond, napatunayan ang galing, sunod sunod natuhog sina cata, delio, roland, mario (gulat na gulat sa investigative questioning ni Lou), rogie, quijano. MRS AGNES URBAN . (Grabe talaga, konektado siguro ang database ng UN sa CIA, FBI, NBI at lahat ng member countries ng United Nations!) Sumunod ang katakut-takot na balitaan, parang mga kabanata ng 'Maalaala Mo Kaya' at 'Magpakailanman'. Kanya-kanyang pagpapakilala muli sa talambuhay. Kamangha-mangha, di pa tayo nalimutan ni MomAgnes! So much memories of us, mapa-ingles, tagalog, ilocano o aleman (pati sina mario at Tere nag-aleman)! And so much discoveries, too. Nagkita-kits 2X ang mga US-based: NY - Lou, Delio, Rolan. LA - Delio, Cata, Leony. (see photos, Events page).

Also, Becky found our teacher in person, Mrs Quijano, and learned from Rorie, the daughter, about the website ldhs78 (impressive blogsite, try visit it too). Becky and I contacted its Site Team, and they were willing to give us space. Our kaberks went thru it (syempre wala kakilala though some of our teachers were also in their photos), got some ideas, and voila!. . . Delio created our very own!!!

Mrs Bond pursued her mission. As of today, April 25, 2008, narito kasama na natin ngayon sina Rizalina, Arlene, Dimitui, Marilyn. . . at marami pa darating.

Ganoon tayo noon, 35 taon nakaraan. Paano na tayo ngayon?
